Geography professor Stephen Young was recently in Almaty, Kazakhstan as an invited speaker for “The International Scientific Conference - Arid Lands: Sustainability of Nature and Society" devoted to the urgent problems of sustainable development of arid territories in the central part of Eurasia hosted by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University jointly with Oxford University (UK) and the National Committee of UNESCO’s “Man and the Biosphere”. 鶹˾Ʒ Young presented his research on Climate Change and the Middle East.
