Horace Mann Renovation and Meier Hall Addition
Construction activities are focusing on exterior masonry restoration, installation of temporary windows, interior framing and ceiling construction, and ongoing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure installation. Water and sewer utility work will also continue along Lafayette Street and Loring Avenue as crews advance underground infrastructure improvements. At Meier Hall, exterior sheathing, roofing, fa莽ade framing, and interior buildout activities continue. These efforts are important milestones as the project continues to take shape and move toward enclosure and interior fit-out.

North Quad BOLD Connections
Schematic design for the project continues to advance. The design plans are currently being estimated to establish a clearer understanding of costs, phasing and construction logistics while helping to chart a realistic path toward achieving the goals of the project. Decarbonization Project Update
Construction crews will complete paving, sidewalk improvements, pavement markings, wheel stop installation, and other finishing work at a portion of the Meier Hall parking lot. These activities will help prepare portions of the parking lot and College Drive for reopening and normal use. College Drive will reopen for vehicular traffic on Monday, September 21 at 8 am. A portion of the Meier Hall parking lot will reopen on Monday, October 5.
At the Administration Building, work will continue on mechanical and utility upgrades, including steam system improvements, structural steel installation, and interior framing. As part of the project, rooftop HVAC units serving Human Resources, Theater Arts support spaces (craft and dye rooms) and second-floor offices will be temporarily relocated. Temporary heating and cooling equipment is being installed to maintain service during the transition, with permanent systems expected to be back online by mid- to late October. To support this work, the Women's Restroom (Room 105) is currently closed and is expected to remain unavailable until October. During this time, occupants may use the nearby women's restroom in Room 103. The university community should also expect occasional construction deliveries and intermittent noise during normal work hours.
