Northern Essex Community College, North Shore Community College and Salem State University created the Transfer Connections program to streamline the steps toward a bachelor's degree.

Transfer Connections to Salem State provides you with a clear path to transfer, no matter what stage of the process you are in. Whether you are a high school student considering starting at a community college or a current NECC or NSCC student, Transfer Connections is here to help plan your transfer journey.

My name is Sharon German, I am a Transfer Connections Liaison for Salem State University. I guide prospective students through the transfer process and provide support throughout your entire educational journey to bachelor鈥檚 degree completion. Whether it is how to fill out an application, which classes to register for, or deciding on a major, I am here to help!

Dual Admission Participation

If you鈥檙e completing your associate degree at Northern Essex or North Shore Community College and plan to earn your bachelor鈥檚 at Salem State, submit the Dual Admissions Participation Form:

Transfer Connections Fellow Scholarship

$3,000 toward your bachelor鈥檚 degree at Salem State University

The Transfer Fellow Scholarship offers $3,000 to full- and part-time students transferring to Salem State with an associate degree from NECC or NSCC. Advance your education while keeping costs low!

Eligibility Requirements

  • Earn an associate degree at NECC or NSCC and transfer to SSU within one year of graduating
  • Enroll in SSU鈥檚 day program
  • Open to in-state and out-of-state students
  • Maintain consecutive enrollment (fall and spring)
  • Submit the FAFSA annually (before classes starting)
  • Complete your bachelor鈥檚 degree within five years of transferring
  • Stay in good academic standing (2.0+ GPA)
  • Enroll in at least two classes per semester
